As well as offering translation services for documents, we also offer transcription and translation of audio/visual files in foreign languages.
What is translation and transcription?
Translation: this is where we are sent an audio or visual file in a foreign language. We will have a linguist listen to the spoken elements of the file and translate them into Spanish only. This is either marked against time codes (if available) or according to who is speaking.
Transcription: this is where what is said in the foreign language is written down in the foreign language. So if it is spoken in Russian, we have the linguist write down word for word what was said in Russian text.
The two services can of course be combined so that the end result is both what was said, but now in written format, as well as the translation.
What format can we work with?
We can work with any of the following:
How does it work?
We charge on an hourly basis. The amount of time an assignment will take depends upon the length of the audio/visual material, the quality of sound, how quickly people speak, what the topic of conversation is and in what format the translation or transcription is required.
All we need to start the job is the actual source material.
